Correctly Moving Portable Hair Dryers and Hair Processors Around Your Space

Posted by

You've just purchased your brand new hair dryer on a rolling stand or hair processor on a rolling stand you bought through us.  How do you give it the best opportunity to "stay on its feet" and last you a long time?  Let's dive in.  A very important part of the assembly process is making sure the hood is over the wide part of the legs.  This is where the weight is focused.  The unit is top-heavy by design, meaning the heavier (hood) part is towards the top of the unit.  A common mistake is moving your unit around by the hood.  This risks damaging or loosening any part of the hood, possibly creating a less effective operation or presenting you with a costly replacement.  Also, the hood could be hot if the dryer or processor was just in use.  Instead, there is a darker colored bar or handle located behind the hood that allows for safely moving the dryer and/or processor around your space.  If the dryer or processor hits a crack in the floor, beveled edge of a mat, or some other unsmooth surface, the momentum of the unit combined with the top-heavy nature of the unit is going to make the unit tip over.  With a firm hold on the bar or handle, and your attention, you'll avoid any accidents at a higher rate.
